First
How is the newness.
I think your first love is always this crazy whirlwind. You literally have nothing to compare it to, so the intensity just hits you out of nowhere. But by the time you get into your next relationship, the newness doesn’t blindside you anywhere near as much. You can sort of keep your feet on the ground and actually figure out if you guys are a good match for the long run.
I think finding that initial spark is great, but honestly, it never lasts forever. A real partnership is built on way deeper stuff, like sharing the same values, having similar life goals, and just having personalities that actually click with each other. As we grow up, we start to realize that just liking a couple of random things about someone isn’t really enough. Sometimes you just have to move on and find someone who genuinely connects with every single part of who you are.
